"Unlocking the Legacy: Exploring the Life and Work of Harry Ferguson with Alan Rosborough" at Men's Breakfast

Bann Maine West (BMW) held a Men’s Breakfast event on Wednesday highlighting the services of Rural Support.  There was a full house at the Wild Duck, Portglenone with lots of chat, information and of course a great breakfast.

Jeanette from Bann Maine West commented:-

“What a great Men’s Breakfast today! We had a full house and thank you to Alan Rosborough gave such an incredible talk about the fascinating life of Harry Ferguson, and everyone absolutely loved it! We were all blown away by Ferguson's amazing achievements—not just in agriculture with his game-changing three-point linkage system for tractors, which became a global standard and revolutionised farming—but also in aviation as the first person in Ireland to build and fly his own airplane. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, he even contributed to the development of the first four-wheel-drive Formula One car. It was a truly enlightening presentation, and we all walked away having learned something new!”

The Men’s Breakfasts are held once a month with the aim of rural men coming together, having a chat, picking up some information and enjoying a great breakfast!  This project is part funded by the Lottery Community Fund.
