Grange Cross Community Association

Established in 2004, the Grange Cross Community Association (GCCA) is a local voluntary group and a registered charity.

We work to try and improve the look of the Hamlet and to obtain better amenities for the local people and  work closely with Mid & East Antrim Council and other local authorities to try and improve the area. Currently we are working for the provision of a new play area, which, is badly needed but this is subject to obtaining a suitable site. Other projects we have undertaken include; the provision of new road signs, dog litter bins, ordinary litter bins and flower boxes with flowers to help brighten the Hamlet. We also organise the annual Christmas Lights switch on and take part in the Arches Festival.

Through our involvement with the Bann Maine West cluster group, we have been able to secure funding to run the Pharmacy Project and we have recently received confirmation that further funding is being made available for us to continue with stage two of the project. People from the Grange have also been able to participate in Lunch and Learn sessions, Keep Warm, Keep Well and an annual trip to the Christmas Market through our involvement with Bann Maine West

GCCA try to support local schools where possible. Recently we have had members of the Groggan Primary School out in the Hamlet to do a tidy up and members of the Grange Presbyterian Church Youth Club spent a morning lifting litter.
