Cloney Rural Development Association (CRDA) is a voluntary community organisation established in September 2000. We are based in the Mid & East Antrim Borough area. CRDA was formed to improve the lives of the existing community by offering a wide variety of services.
Our centre is available for hire at a very competitive rate for various activities, eg sports, funeral teas, music, birthday parties, conferences etc.
Outside catering can be arranged for any of the above activities.
CRDA have many ongoing activities.
A youth club operates 2 nights per week from 7.00pm to 8.45pm. On Tuesday the club is for primary aged children while the older children take part on Thursday.
The centre is also used for Kettle Bells, Body Pump, Chair Aerobics, Comhaltas Music Classes
The CRDA ‘Walking for Health’ Group meet each Monday morning at 10.45am in the car park in Ahoghill. Walks usually last between 40 and 60 minutes. Anyone interested in joining please contact 07517972172.

Yew Tree Feis
CRDA hold an annual feis at the Acorn Centre. This is one of our cross community events for primary school children in our local community. The motto of our feis is “Every Child a Winner”. Children compete in a variety of competitions namely Art, Recitation, Creation of Poem, Traditional and Classical music and singing. We are grateful to Mid & East Antrim Borough Council for their continued support for our feis. Please check our website for up to date information.
Community Pharmacy Project
CRDA deliver a Community Pharmacy project in their local area. This is a project in partnership with the local Pharmacist and involves a series of workshops and events promoting health awareness and the role of the Pharmacist.
The CRDA 75 club is a fundraising method to enable us to have a sustained means of income to help run The Acorn Centre. The club is open for up to 75 members . Payment can be made by a single £120 payment, two £60 payments or £10 per month by standing order. Three prizes are awarded each month, £150, £100 and £50.
